Fake Police Officer Scams Victim Out of VND 400 Million

A woman has been handled by authorities after impersonating a police officer to defraud an acquaintance of more than VND 400 million.

Danang detectives agency, according to investigators, the suspect exploited a personal relationship to gain the victim’s trust.

She falsely claimed to be a police officer and provided misleading information about her ability to “handle” legal issues or influence case outcomes.

Believing these claims, the victim transferred money multiple times in the hope of receiving assistance.

Throughout the scheme, the suspect repeatedly fabricated reasons to request additional payments, prolonging the process and increasing the total amount taken.

At the police station, the two suspects identified as the masterminds behind the public disturbance at a coffee shop in Ho Chi Minh City admitted to their actions.

The two individuals under investigation were identified as Trần Minh Đăng, 38 years old, from Cần Thơ. The other suspect is Nguyễn Văn Trường, 21 years old, from An Giang, Vietnam.

At around 2:00 a.m. on January 20, while on patrol along Thuận Giao 19 Street, Hòa Lân 2 residential area, police officers noticed Đăng riding a motorbike with Trường as a passenger, displaying suspicious behavior.

Female domestic helper abuses 90-year-old woman

A family in Hai Bà Trưng Ward, Hà Nội, discovered through their home surveillance cameras that a domestic helper had committed violent acts.

The acts were directed against their 90-year-old grandmother. Hanoi detective agency, the helper had been hired to provide her with daily care and assistance.

According to the camera footage, instead of providing proper care, the domestic helper repeatedly shouted at, verbally abused, and physically assaulted the elderly woman, who was confined to a wheelchair and unable to take care of herself.

In several video clips, the helper was seen ordering the woman to “sit up straight.” When the elderly woman was unable to comply due to her health condition, the helper slapped her hard across the face, twisted her neck, and struck her repeatedly.

These abusive acts reportedly occurred even while the helper was changing the woman’s clothes and assisting her with personal hygiene while she lay on the bed.

Arrest of a young man for possessing drugs and weapons

Hanoi city police issued a wanted notice for Bui Thi Kim Lien, 26 years old, formerly residing in Xuan Thuy commune, Xuan Truong district, Nam Dinh; currently registered in Xuan Giang commune, Ninh Binh, Vietnam.

Prosecution of two captains in Ho Chi Minh city Vietnam
