Arrest of the subject who assaulted 2 girls in Bac Giang

On the evening of June 23, 2025, the police of Bac Giang province, Vietnam, coordinated to arrest Chu Quang Duc.

Afterwards, images from the surveillance camera showed Duc grabbing the girl sitting behind by the neck, knocking her down, and then continuing to punch the girl driving the car in the head and body, despite people trying to stop him.

After the clip went viral online, the Investigation Police agency of Bac Giang provincial police determined that there were signs of the crime of “intentionally causing injury” and began an investigation.

Duc was arrested on June 23 while hiding in Bac Ninh city, Bac Ninh province, Vietnam.

At the investigation agency, Chu Quang Duc admitted his actions, stating that the cause came from the two girls’ reaction when Duc’s group swerved and swerved on their motorbikes earlier.

This conflict made Duc angry, leading to the above uncontrolled actions.

Man shoots two friends in Vinh Long due to conflict

On June 16, Vinh Long province police, Vietnam detained Nguyen Van Len, 61 years old, residing in Tan My commune, Tra On district, Vietnam.

This person was detained for allegedly shooting two people during a drinking session.

According to the initial investigation, at about 10:00 a.m. on June 13, 2025, Len went to N.V.H.’s house in Tan My Commune to drink with three other people: H., N.M.Q. and P.V.B.T.

During the gathering, an argument and conflict broke out between Len and the two men.

During the sudden scuffle, Len left the table, went to his motorbike, got a gun, turned around and opened fire on the group.

As a result, Q. was shot in the right arm, and T. was injured in the left arm. Both victims were quickly taken to Can Tho Hospital for treatment.

After the shooting, Len fled the scene and threw the gun into a nearby canal.

He was arrested that afternoon. Authorities recovered the gun and are determining its origin.

Hanoi city: Vice chairman of a town in Hanoi was arrested

Deputy chairman of a township in Hanoi arrested for producing fake medical alcohol, Hanoi detective agency.

On June 16, police in Thach That district, Hanoi announced the arrest and temporary detention of Nguyen Tien Dung, 47 years old, deputy chairman of the people’s committee of Lien Quan township, for producing and trading counterfeit medical alcohol.

Initial investigations revealed that Mr. Dung had taken advantage of his position and used his off-duty time to operate an illicit alcohol production scheme over an extended period.

The products, labeled as 70% and 90% medical alcohol—items under special regulation in the healthcare sector—were in fact of unknown origin and failed to meet safety standards.

Police searched the production site and warehouse, seizing a large quantity of fake alcohol, packaging materials, labels, and related equipment.

Hanoi detective, forensic tests confirmed that the seized products were substandard and potentially harmful to human health.

Notably, Mr. Dung is still serving as the Deputy chairman of Lien Quan township, responsible for socio-economic affairs.

Authorities view the involvement of a local official in producing counterfeit medical goods as a particularly serious offense that undermines public trust.

Fitness trainer detained for knocking down traffic police officer

Hanoi city police have detained Bui Lam Anh, 23 years old, a fitness trainer residing in Dan Phuong district, Hanoi, Vietnam. This person was detained for investigation of the act of resisting a person on duty after knocking down a traffic police officer.

On the evening of May 31, the working group of Road Traffic Police Team No. 9 was on duty in Thu Que Village, Song Phuong Commune, when they discovered Bui Lam Anh driving a motorbike with suspicious signs.

After moving about 10m, the subject stopped the vehicle and suddenly turned back, approached Senior Lieutenant Le Duy Khanh, then insulted and used his hand to knock this officer down on the road. If Senior Lieutenant Khanh’s injury is assessed to be 11% or more, the subject may also be prosecuted for the crime of “Intentionally causing injury” under Article 134, with a sentence of 2 to 6 years in prison.

Bac Giang: Arrest of suspect who set fire to a motorbike shop

On May 28, Bac Giang provincial police prosecuted Nguyen Van Thu, 34 years old, residing in Hai Duong province, Vietnam for two serious crimes: “murder” and “property destruction”.
