Police in Hanoi are investigating an incident in which a male delivery driver allegedly assaulted a female customer on Nguyen Chi Thanh Street.
The case has attracted widespread public attention after a video of the incident circulated on social media.
According to preliminary information, the incident occurred on the afternoon of June 24 on Nguyen Chi Thanh Street.
Security camera footage shows the shipper arguing with the woman before allegedly attacking her and pulling her to the ground in the middle of the street.
Several bystanders quickly stepped in to stop the assault, Vietnam detectives services.
After receiving reports of the incident, Lang Ward Police identified the people involved and summoned them for questioning.
Investigators are collecting witness statements, reviewing security camera footage, and gathering evidence to determine the cause of the dispute and handle the case in accordance with Vietnamese law.
A police representative stated that any act of using violence to resolve personal conflicts will be thoroughly investigated and strictly dealt with.
