Police of Bac Lieu city (Bac Lieu province) detained Nguyen Trong Thinh (38 years old, living in Ho Chi Minh city) to investigate the crime of intentionally causing injury.
The incident happened around 5pm on 11/8/2023, Thinh caused trouble at a gym in Bac Lieu city.
He was invited to work by the police.
Thinh resisted the functional forces on duty and then fled.
Captain Huynh Tan Khanh saw Thinh’s behavior, so he assisted 2 ward police officers to arrest this person.
Thinh used a rice tattoo stick to stab Captain Khanh, causing serious injuries and hospitalization;
Two police officers from Ward 1 were slightly injured.
