Dong Thap: Report of a 2-year-old child being kidnapped is false

On March 3, police in Thanh Bình Commune, Đồng Tháp Province, confirmed that information circulating on social media about a 2-year-old child being kidnapped in the area is not true.

Earlier, a Facebook post claimed that a child abduction had occurred in Tân Thạnh and Thanh Bình communes.

Authorities also determined that the account that published the information was a fake account.

Two motorbike thieves arrested in Ho Chi Minh city

On January 26, the Thuận Giao Ward Police said they are completing case files to handle two suspects for theft of property after the pair were caught shortly after stealing a motorbike.

The two individuals under investigation were identified as Trần Minh Đăng, 38 years old, from Cần Thơ and Nguyễn Văn Trường, 21 years old, from An Giang, Vietnam.

At around 2:00 a.m. on January 20, while on patrol along Thuận Giao 19 Street, Hòa Lân 2 residential area, police officers noticed Đăng riding a motorbike with Trường as a passenger, displaying suspicious behavior.

A preliminary check revealed that both suspects tested positive for drugs.

During questioning at the police station, Đăng and Trường admitted that they had just stolen the motorbike, bearing license plate number 67C1-285.43, from a boarding house in Bình Giao residential area, and were attempting to flee when they were intercepted by the patrol team.

The suspects also stated that they had completed compulsory drug rehabilitation and returned to their localities on January 8.

Thuận Giao Ward Police have contacted the motorbike’s owner to work with authorities and are currently finalizing legal procedures to handle the two suspects in accordance with the law.

Female domestic helper abuses 90-year-old woman

A family in Hai Bà Trưng Ward, Hà Nội, discovered through their home surveillance cameras that a domestic helper had committed violent acts against their 90-year-old grandmother, who had been hired to receive daily care and assistance.

According to the camera footage, instead of providing proper care, the domestic helper repeatedly shouted at, verbally abused, and physically assaulted the elderly woman, who was confined to a wheelchair and unable to take care of herself.

In several video clips, the helper was seen ordering the woman to “sit up straight.” When the elderly woman was unable to comply due to her health condition, the helper slapped her hard across the face, twisted her neck, and struck her repeatedly.

These abusive acts reportedly occurred even while the helper was changing the woman’s clothes and assisting her with personal hygiene while she lay on the bed.

Arrest of a young man for possessing drugs and weapons

On the evening of December 6, task force Y25/141 was on duty on Van Xuan street, area 6, Hoai Duc, Hanoi city, Vietnam, Vietnamese private detective service agency.

Prosecution of two captains in Ho Chi Minh city Vietnam

Hung Yen: Young man detained for beating someone

Detained 2 male subjects for sabotage on cyberspace
