Arrested suspect of stealing nearly 30 gold bars in Ho Chi Minh

Ho Chi Minh city police in coordination with professional units have just arrested a suspect in the theft of nearly 30 taels of gold.

Vietnamese detectives, the incident occurred when the car owner parked his car on the sidewalk and went to sleep in Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam.

According to Mr. H.V.D’s report, on the evening of September 6, he drove a pickup truck with license plate 61A… to take his friend home on Binh Duong Avenue, Phu Loi Ward.

He opened the front passenger door of the car and entered the house, parked the car on the sidewalk and slept.

Ho Chi Minh detective, the next morning, September 7, people discovered that the car door was open and woke Mr. D up.

When checking, he discovered that his phone and a large amount of gold jewelry — including necklaces, bracelets, rings — were missing, with a total weight of nearly 30 taels of gold.

Through extracting security camera data, the police identified the image of a young man wearing a motorbike taxi shirt approaching the open car door, using a flashlight to shine inside the car and then leaving.

Ho Chi Minh City Criminal Police and related units have arrested the suspect and recovered the evidence.

The suspect is being questioned to clarify the behavior and circumstances of the theft.
