On August 11, the Northern Drug and Crime Prevention Task Force under the Border Guard, in coordination with the Son La Provincial Border Guard Command and other functional units, caught Tong Van Qui red-handed.
Qui was born in 1987, residing in Muong Phang Commune, Dien Bien Province in the Tia Village area, Pung Banh Commune, Son La Province, for illegally buying and selling drugs.
The seized evidence included 10 heroin cakes, a motorbike and a mobile phone
Qui had a previous conviction for theft of property.
The Border Guard and other coordinating forces are continuing to investigate and clarify the case in accordance with Vietnamese law.
