The People’s procuracy of Ho Chi Minh city has officially indicted six individuals on charges of “robbery”, “illegal drug trafficking”, and “unlawful possession and use of military weapons” this group, considered dangerous and organized, used firearms to steal drugs in broad daylight.
According to the investigation, the suspects planned a fake drug transaction with a dealer in District 12.
Under the guise of a normal deal, they brought a military-grade firearm and staged a robbery to seize a large quantity of drugs worth hundreds of millions of VND.
During the confrontation, one gang member fired a shot to intimidate the victim.
After the incident, police quickly launched an investigation, seizing methamphetamine, heroin, a gun, and several bullets.
Most of the suspects have prior criminal records related to drug offenses and are linked to organized criminal groups.
The case file has been transferred to the court for trial in accordance with the law.
Authorities emphasized that this is a serious offense requiring strict punishment as a deterrent.
