The police of Dak Ha district, Kon Tum, Vietnam have prosecuted the accused and detained 5 subjects for the crime of forest destruction.
Those detained in the deforestation case include: Le Vo Van Khuong; A Huk and A Khuy; A Toang and Y Nen.
Le Vo Van Khuong was identified as the leader, hiring the remaining subjects to destroy the forest.
Through investigation, from March 20 to 25, 2024, the patrol and raid team of Dak Pxi Commune People’s Committee coordinated with patrol authorities to detect illegal deforestation in section 9, sub-area 325. the law.
The authorities determined that more than 2.1 hectares of forest were cleared by the above group.
There are many forest trees cut down and burned. Many trees with a diameter of more than 50cm were cut down.
Dak Ha District Forest Ranger Department completed the procedures and transferred the file to the Police Investigation Agency of this district for investigation according to the provisions of law in Vietnam.
